Installation of different space lights
Finally, there are specific installation methods for lighting fixtures in different rooms. Due to differences in space size and functional classification, different types of lighting are required. We can determine the required lighting fixtures for a room from three aspects: basic lighting, local lighting, and ambient lighting.
#Living room
The main light in the living room is generally located in the center of the ceiling, providing basic lighting. There are two commonly used types of ceiling lights and chandeliers.
When installing chandeliers, it is necessary to determine the size of the chandelier and the number of lamp holders required based on the living room area, in order to achieve spatial coordination and good lighting effects.
If there is a suspended ceiling in the living room, it is also possible to consider using light slots and concealed lighting fixtures, so that the light can become very soft through diffuse reflection. But pay attention to the uniform color of the light source, otherwise it will become a colorful unfashionable ballroom style.
#Bedroom
The bedroom needs a soft and quiet atmosphere, so it is advisable to use soft and warm lighting as the basic lighting.
In the bedroom, people’s line of sight is more focused on lying down and looking up, or relying on a squint state. Therefore, bedroom lighting should not be of the direct type, and it is best to choose lighting fixtures with lampshades.
The lampshade can be made of natural materials such as paper, bamboo, wood, or natural colors to create a comfortable and natural spatial atmosphere.
In addition, a wall lamp or desk lamp can be installed on both sides of the bedside to provide reading lighting before bedtime and also facilitate getting up at night.
Infrared sensing LEDs can be installed in the wardrobe, which lights up when the door is opened and turns off when the door is closed, making it very convenient to find clothes.
#Restaurant
Restaurants generally use low hanging chandeliers that hang above the dining table to create a contrast between light and dark in the vicinity, creating a good dining atmosphere.
The lowest point of the chandelier should be about 70cm higher than the dining table, and the diameter should be 30cm smaller than the width of the dining table to prevent touching the head when standing up. It is advisable to choose warm colored light with a color temperature of around 3000K to make the food more attractive and increase appetite.
In addition, the chandelier can use a semi transparent material lampshade, which can not only transmit light downwards but also appropriately, providing an ambient lighting effect on the surrounding environment and making the room’s lighting softer.
#Kitchen
Most kitchens will have suspended ceilings and incorporate flat panel lighting fixtures to provide basic lighting.
Therefore, local lighting in the kitchen is necessary so that the light is not blocked by oneself. We will also be more convenient when washing, cutting, and cooking vegetables.
It is recommended to install a cabinet bottom light below the hanging cabinet, which can light up immediately after reaching out. It is advisable to choose warm white light or natural light with a color temperature of 3000-4500K to make the ingredients appear more vibrant and increase the fun of cooking.
#Toilet
Bathrooms are often equipped with embedded flat panel lighting fixtures as the basic lighting, or bathtubs that integrate heating, ventilation, and lighting. Therefore, we can start with local lighting.
A row of LED lights can be installed on both sides of the mirror on the washstand, making it convenient for makeup and washing.
You can also install a warm colored wall lamp on the wall, so that when going to the bathroom at night to turn on the lamp, it won’t cause drowsiness due to the dazzling light.
