3、 How to light
By analyzing the space and desired effects, three basic lighting methods can be used for lighting design
2. Key lighting – illuminating special areas
Key lighting can attract attention, enhance effects, and arouse people’s interest.
For example, the lighting on the bathroom sink is usually used for key lighting due to the presence of mirrors, but there is often a problem, as shown in the figure:

The lighting effect from the front pavement is better than that from the top of the head, because the lighting from the front pavement makes the facial expression very overall, while the lighting from the top of the head makes the protruding parts of the face very bright, the concave positions are very dark, and the contrast between light and dark is too strong;
So the toilet in the picture adopts the form of no main light, and the washbasin uses wall lamps as key lighting to weaken the contrast between light and dark, which can make people’s facial expression very overall when looking in the mirror and have a certain beautification effect;
